COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS SPECIFIC TO WORKSHOP 2021
While we are thrilled to resume in-person Workshops, the safety of our students and Volunteer Staff remains Launch’s top priority. We will be following the CDC’s guidelines set for summer camps, as well as our own protocols, influenced by expert opinions and our medical professionals on Staff. We anticipate our guidelines and protocols will be updated frequently as new information becomes available. Any changes will be updated here and communicated to registrants in advance of Workshop.
Workshop is only possible this year if our Staff, students, and their families work together to create the safest possible environment.
MEASURES LAUNCH IS TAKING AS AN ORGANIZATION:
Expanding our first-aid staff and protocols for anyone exhibiting signs of illness at Workshop
Closed campus during Workshop
Smaller co-op sizes
Revising activities to account for social distancing in and out of co-op
Staggered, distanced meal times
As much time spent outside as weather permits
Updating disciplinary guidelines to include consequences for anyone at Workshop who chooses to disregard COVID-19-specific safety guidelines
EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENTS AT WORKSHOP:
We will require proof of a negative COVID-19 test in the 48 hours prior to Workshop check-in; proof of vaccination will also be accepted for eligible students
Wear a mask (no neck gaiters allowed) whenever students are outside their dorm room, with the exception of outdoor activities and staggered, distanced meal times
Maintain social distancing
Wash hands frequently
Communicate with the Launch Staff if feeling unwell
